CARDIAC SHORT STAY EXPANSION

The project consists of interior renovations to the existing clinic space adjacent to the Cardiac Short Stay department to expand it, on the third floor of the existing Diagnostic & Treatment Centre at Royal Jubilee Hospital. The hospital and adjacent department is remaining operational throughout construction.
OPHTHALMOLOGY LAB RENOVATION

This project was completed in five phases over 8 months. Once the project was complete, the Ophthalmology Lab encompassed two clinical areas in the hospital and consisted of three procedure rooms for surgeries, separate facilities to clean and sterilize surgical equipment and several other rooms for specialized treatments. Kinetic was also responsible for installing owner supplied surgical equipment sterilizers and surgical lighting.
PATIENT CARE CENTRE (PICU) SECLUSION ROOMS RENOVATION

The project involved renovations to convert the existing rooms and anterooms into seclusion rooms. Work included demolition, concrete
work, finishes, mechanical systems and electrical systems.
INTERNAL PHARMACY RELOCATION

This project was located in the basement of the hospital and included exterior mounted condensers for the refrigeration systems, which required piping through multiple adjacent spaces to a suitable exterior mounting location.
RETAIL PHARMACY RENOVATION
Renovations to create a new pharmacy located on the main floor of the hospital, between the main entry doors and the emergency department. Corridor space was premium and the project was located in a very public location. The anteroom was built small and narrow to keep maximum corridor space open during construction.

Renovations and construction to create a medical school within the Coronation Building at Royal Jubilee Hospital.
The work took place on the main floor and basement spaces of the Coronation Building and involved demolition of the existing 1,420 m2 main floor space, along with associated mechanical and electrical work. A a 360 m2 , two-storey addition was constructed to the north side of the building and related site improvements were completed.

Phased renovations to accommodate the relocation of the Microbiology Laboratory from Victoria General Hospital to the Diagnostic and Treatment Building at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Additional renovations to accommodate relocation of the Outpatient Laboratory from the Diagnostic & Treatment building to the West Block Building at Royal Jubilee Hospital.
Construction included coordination of mechanical and electrical services for new lab equipment and construction of Level 2 isolation rooms.
KIDNEY CARE CLINIC

Renovations to create a Kidney Care Clinic within the hospital. Part of the project scope were new offices, examination rooms, patient areas, and consultation rooms. Work was undertaken on 2nd floor of the Diagnostic & Treatment building, under Level 4 of the Infectious Disease Control Measures.
HIGH INTENSITY HEART HEALTH

Phased renovations to create a Cardiac Short Stay facility and offices for the High Intensity Heart Health program on 3rd floor of the Diagnostic & Treatment building. Due to the proximity of construction activities to the cardiac surgical departments, the work was completed with very stringent noise and dust control measures.
GERIATRIC OUTPATIENT CLINIC

Demolition and extensive renovations to the Memorial Pavilion to create new Geriatric Outpatient Clinic. The work was completed within an existing, fully operational geriatric care facility.

Renovation of the existing 190 m2 shell space within the Diagnostic & Treatment building to create two new Electrophysiology Laboratories for heart surgery. This project was undertaken in the middle of the hospital’s critical care and surgery departments, under the most stringent dust and noise control guidelines.
ERIC MARTIN PAVILION – 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5TH FLOOR RENOVATIONS

A series of phased major renovations to the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th floor of the Eric Martin Pavilion building at the hospital. The work on each floor was phased, including removal of asbestos in ceiling spaces, removal and replacement of ceilings, and mechanical and electrical upgrades. All construction activities were completed within a fully operational facility, with limited site access.
